Frederick Charles Estabrook, 86, died on January 27, 2014, in Federal Way, Washington. He was born on February 13, 1927, in Renton, Washington. He spent his school years in Aberdeen.
He joined the Navy in 1944, and was honorably discharged in 1952.
He married his sweetheart, Phyllis Grubb, in 1946.
Fred graduated from the University of Washington with a pharmacy degree. He was a pharmaceutical salesman for Eli Lilly. In 1972, he followed his dream to own a drugstore and became the proud owner of the Medicine Shoppe in Aberdeen. Following his retirement, he moved to Federal Way Retirement Community to be closer to his children.
He is survived by his son, Craig (Peggy); his daughter, Debbie Rhoton; his grandchildren, Amanda Wooten (Kyle) and Brent Estabrook; his great grandchildren, Stella and Dane Wooten and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Toni; and a brother, Tom.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will be in the Hoquiam Sunset Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 - 5th Street in Hoquiam.
