George Leroy Dzutsoff, 81, was born April 28, 1933, in Raymond, Wash. He died peacefully June 28, 2014, in Orting, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anita Tenoski and Alex Dzutsoff, and grandson Holden Meier.
Survivors include his brother Bob Dzutsoff, sister Grace (Delmar) Ross, daughters Karen Bell and Karri (Brad) Meier, grandsons Stephen Fleming and Bradley Meier, granddaughter Jessica Bell, great-granddaughter Kaylee Fleming and nephew Stan Dzutsoff.
George proudly served as a sergeant. in the U.S. Army as a medic. He was briefly employed by Boeing in Seattle, and spent the majority of his career at Weyerhaeuser in Raymond. He loved to fish, woodworking, basketball and football. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the American Legion and Eagles in Raymond.
George spent the last months of his life enjoying precious moments with his family. He will be greatly missed. Many thanks to the Orting Soldier’s Home for their compassion and wonderful care. A service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on July 11, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. A celebration of life will follow in upcoming weeks in Raymond.
