Jay Joslin passed away April 04, 2014, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle Wash., of liver disease.
Jay was born in Olympia, Wash., and raised in Shelton, Wash., where he graduated from Shelton High School.
Jay loved the auto body industry. As a child he built model cars and trucks. From there he went into customizing and pro streeting his own vehicles. He built a T-Bucket roadster, and was in numerous custom car shows. Jay continued in the auto body customizing and restoration industry until he was unable to work. His dream was to put a custom paint job on an airplane.
Jay loved camping and fishing. Jay gave himself to Christ just before his passing. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Bye Joslin, sister DeeAnn Rowe a brother Mark Joslin, father Wayne Joslin. Jay has four stepchildren, Jesse of Spokane, Wash., Carrie of Apache Junction, Ariz., Terrie of Olympia, Wash., and Sherrie of Coulee City, Wash., eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren. His aunts and uncles Dorothy, Richard of Baring, Wash., Sandy, Carl of Olympia, Wash., Richard, Barbara of Redmond, Wash., Dona, Leon of Bonney Lake Wash. His favorite cousin Shari his niece Nikki Jo, and many more cousins nieces and nephews and relatives he loved. A brother and sister.
His most cherished loves were his granddaughter Caitlin of Barstow, Calif., his partner and best friend Carole Joslin LaFors of Spokane Wash. Finally the love of his life Justin LaFors, his great grandson, whom he helped raise and considered his child.
Services will be held at a later date. We will miss you here on this earth Jay. We love you and miss you very much, see you in Heaven.
