John H. Pirtle, 69, of Aberdeen passed away in Seattle, Washington on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born on December 16, 1944 in Ocosta, Washington. John worked in the lumber industry for the majority of his young adult life until an accident at work left him unable to work any longer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, gardening and visiting with friends and family. He also enjoyed a good game of bingo in his later years after retiring his motorcycle. He was a 30 year Eagle member and also an active member of the South Aberdeen Baptist Church. John had a very big heart and was loved by many and his presence will be greatly missed. He is survived by his four daughters: Jerri L. Pirtle and Jennifer A. Burns, both residing in Spokane, WA; Beth A. Pirtle-Troseth and Diane M. Norris, both residing in the Grays Harbor area. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at South Aberdeen Baptist, 620 Fordney St, Aberdeen WA on Saturday, March 1st at 1:00 pm.
