Kay Frances Homchick, 77, passed away on April 3, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Kay was born on April 26, 1936, in Bison, Kan., to Charles and E. Pearl (Gerboth) Tessell. They moved to McCleary when she was 10 years old.
Kay enjoyed traveling, visiting friends in Idaho; going to Leavenworth, golfing and family gatherings.
Kay is survived by her husband of 39 years, John W. Homchick of the family home; two sisters, Mickey Nearhood of Beaverton, Ore., and Shannon Hayes of Chehalis; four sons, Denny (Cherryl) Wallman of Silverton, Ore., Ed (Marilyn) Wallman, John (Melanie) Homechick Jr. of Elma and Darrin Homchick of Olympia; “adopted kids”, Jeff and Kathy Walters of Santa, Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Andrew (Wally), Charles (Chuckie) and Linda (as an infant) Wallman.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
