Logn Vorng, 92, a resident of Aberdeen for 30 years, died at a Federal Way hospice center Friday, April 11, 2014.
Logn was born in Battambong, Cambodia, Aug. 5, 1921, and had been in the fruit and vegetable supply and export business before coming to the United States and Olympia in 1980. He came with his family to Aberdeen in 1983. He became a U.S. citizen in 1990.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Chhorn Vorng and CHIM Vorng, both of Seattle; 4 sons: Hoeurn Meng Vorng, Aberdeen, Sok Koeurn, Vandy and Chanly Vorng, all of Seattle; and also 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16th in the chapel at Fern Hill Funeral Home. Cremation ceremonies will follow.
