Maurine Ellen Ingman, 81, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 6, 2014, in Bellevue, Wash., She was born May 13, 1933, in Hoquiam, Wash., to Lee and Ellen Gochnour.
Maurine graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1951 and then attended Western Washington University.
In 1954 she married Harley Ingman, and settled in Hoquiam.
Maurine went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Washington University in 1983, and began teaching later that year. She taught Kindergarten through Second Grade in the Hoquiam School District. Maurine retired in 2000 to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and five of her six siblings.
Surviving Maurine is her sister, M’Lisse Pippert of S.D.; her son, Greg (Barb) Ingman of Bow, Wash.; her daughter, Julie (Greg) Hastings of Bellevue, Wash.; and six grandchildren, Brock, Blake, and Haylie Ingman, and Benjamin, Annalise, and Sara Hastings.
Maurine’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Aberdeen, 420 North Broadway, Aberdeen, Wash. with Pastor Doug Basler officiating.
