Richard (Dick) Studer, 80, of Middle Satsop passed away on March 14, 2014, in Aberdeen. He was born on September 13, 1933, in Aberdeen, to Godfrey and Mary Studer of Middle Satsop. He went to Montesano High School. He married to Marlene McLean on June 20, 1952, in Aberdeen and they were married 39 years.
He had worked at the Elma Feed Store, Aberdeen Alder & Lumber, Bigelow’s Construction, he also owned and operated a dairy farm from 1969 to 2007. He was a member of the Dairy Farmers of America and the Faternal Order of the Eagles. He enjoyed going to Casinos, camping, hunting and clam digging.
He is survived by his children, Richard Studer, Linda (Ronnie) Halliday, Kathy (Bob) Waite, Lois Kirkwood, and Mike Studer; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister, Pauline Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene; son, William; grandson, Dustin; brothers, Bob, Francis and Ted; sisters, Marge, Amelia, Grace, Maryann and Elizabeth.
A viewing will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Whiteside Funeral Home in Montesano. A private service will be at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, March 21, 2014, and a burial at 1 p.m., at Wynoochee Cemetery. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m., at the Montesano Moose.
