Susie Smith (Butcher) 61, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014. She was born to Darel and Lois (Converse) Butcher on November, 25, 1952, in Aberdeen, Wash. She attended Hoquiam schools and was a lifelong Grays Harbor resident.
She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, watching classic films, playing on Facebook and reading biographies. She was an animal lover, and really enjoyed her little dog, Sally. She is survived by her mother, Lois Butcher of Elma; two brothers, Ronald and Gary Butcher of Hoquiam; a sister, Darla Paris of Elma, two sons, John Edward Miller of Hoquiam and Jacob Andrew Smith of Elma.; 3 grandchildren, Zackery, Tony and Carrie Miller of Hoquiam and 1 great-granddaughter, Zyra Miller of Spokane. She was preceded in death by her father, Darel Butcher, who passed in 2008. She possessed a great spirit and strong love for her family and God. You are greatly missed Sweet Susie Q.
A memorial will be held at Harbor Assembly Church in Hoquiam, Wash., at 4 p.m. on May 24, 2014.
