Theodore (Ted) J. Carnocki, Jr., 73, passed away after an illness on Monday, April 7, 2014, at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia with his family by his side. He was born in Aberdeen, WA., to Ted Sr. and Evelyn (Griffiths) Carnocki on March 9, 1941. He attended Aberdeen Schools and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1959. Ted was very athletic and active in sports, especially loving and playing football in school, was an excellent water skier and very artistic with his woodworking, building, and land-scaping, spending most of his time outside.
After spending 2 years active duty in the Navy, he lived and worked in Seattle, later moving back to the Harbor to work for several years as a pre-commercial tree thinner. He moved to Totten Shores on Puget Sound near Shelton and married Donna Manship and had two children, Heather and Jesse. They later divorced but have remained close friends. Ted moved to Moclips, WA where he lived until his death.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Jackie) of Seabeck, WA., his son, Jesse of Shelton, Wash., and his sister Connie (Dave) Murnen of Hoquiam, WA. His parents preceeded him in death. There was a family gathering Sunday, April 13, 2014, at their Totten Shores home.
