Tom Creekpaum Jr., 55, of Shelton, WA passed away on June 1, 2014. Tom was born on October 25, 1958 and graduated from Elma High School in 1977. Tom was a resident of Mason County for almost his entire life. He is survived by his siblings Michael and Cinda, his children Jennifer, Vance, and Tommy and his amazing wife of 35 years Annette.
Tom was the son of Thomas Creekpaum Sr. and Marta Holman who are both deceased. Tom Sr. was the undersheriff of Mason County. Marta was a long time Simpson Credit Union employee and eventually retired as a Branch Manager. Tom’s numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins were highly influential and helped him develop into a wonderful person.
Tom will be greatly missed by all of his friends, family, and his loyal Silky Terrier Missy. Tom was an active member of his community, as he owned and operated Creekpaum Electric and helped establish youth football in Mason County. Tom was often mistaken for his father when he began his electrical business at the age of 20.
Tom loved cooking, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Tom’s love for nature meant he had a special connection with animals and the outdoors. Tom especially enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and shrimping on his boat in Hood Canal. Tom was a quiet, but influential leader in our community.
Please join us for Tom’s Celebration of Life, which will be held at the Shelton Civic Center, 525 West Cota Street at 3 p.m. on Saturday June 7.
