I hope you will join me in voting for the Hoquiam School District Maintenance and Operations levy Feb. 11. This levy is a replacement levy and not a new levy or tax.
The committee voted to keep the levy almost the same as in the last two years, and in fact, the cost to the homeowner will actually only go up 10 cents per thousand when the levy passes. This levy helps pay for the teachers, counselors, transportation, books, sports, computers, drama, band and so much more that the state does not fully fund.
The children are our most valuable resource and now more than ever they need our help as the state is asking school districts to do more and more.
So join me as a Grizzly of the past helping Grizzlies of the future and vote “yes” on the Hoquiam School District M&O levy Feb. 11.
