This is a letter I’ve sent to Mr. Arie Callaghan of the Grays Harbor PUD.
Mr. Arie Callaghan:
I’m asking that you, along with your fellow PUD commissioners, take the time in an upcoming PUD newsletter to explain why you allowed Harbor Paper to walk off with such a huge unpaid electrical bill when you don’t extend such largesse to your individual customers at home.
It would also be of interest to hear an explanation as to why you sold the biomass equipment at over a half a million-dollar loss and then have the gall to tell your customers to expect a rate increase this year.
In my opinion this entire scenario smacks of malfeasance on the part of the PUD leadership and shows nothing but disrespect for your customers.
