For kids and their schools, Aberdeen voters have shown — with a consistently positive levy passage record for over 30 years — that this is a special place to live. School districts are prohibited from supporting the “yes” vote on school ballot measures and that is why we are asking for your help.
In Aberdeen, the M&O levy will replace expiring levy funding for things such as up-to-date textbooks and supplies, elementary counselors, music and athletic programs, technology, building maintenance and safe student transportation. These are not frills. They are the basics we have consistently believed are important for our children, but they are not completely covered by state funding.
Strong schools benefit our community both educationally and economically. We hope you will invest in education and invest in our community with your “yes” vote on the Feb. 11 ballot.
