Sunday, we Christians celebate the coming of the Holy Spirit, Christ’s first gift for those who believe. Pentecost concludes the “Great Fifty Days” of Easter. We have been on a blessed journey. We have witnessed several post resurrection appearences of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we have experienced His ascension to heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father, but Jesus did not leave us comfortless. On Pentecost He sends us the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truths. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we are provided power and guidance to do the work we have been given to do.
We need to celebrate Pentecost with great joy in our hearts, we have been given the most wonderful gift, the Holy Spirit of God to encourage, guide, council and empower us. With God’s help everything is possible. Run don’t walk, lead your children, friends, and neighbors to church to welcome and receive the Holy Spirit of God.
God has a blessed plan for His creation, look around you, we ALL have work to do, but blessed by the Holy Spirit it will be done. Come Holy Spirit! Come!
