Aberdeen’s Driftwood Players will open “Hot Aging Women” — a musical in two acts on Saturday night. The play is written by Kerryann Byrd, Judy Dossett and Rachel Underwood. It is directed by Dossett with music direction by Alex Eddy

The Plot: Three women laugh and cry their way through all that life throws at them: aging, changing self-image, empty nest, parent’s health, being married, not being married. These three friends sing and dance their way through challenges and triumphs. It’s all about how to stay “hot” and how to stay friends.

The three-woman play stars veteran Driftwood actresses Dossett as Gertie, Debbie Scoones as Jenny and Kathe Rowe as Maggie

Opening night is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, with additional performances on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5 and May 11-12; and Friday through Sunday, May 18-20.
