In the Driftwood Players’ production of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” Bryan Blackburn, Cheyenne Thommarson and Mercedes Lamphier bring 37 of Shakespeare’s plays to life in just 97 minutes. The play, written by Jess Winfield, Adam Long and Daniel Singer, has been decribed as “Fresh, energetic and funny. A wild and silly frolic.” Pop culture, history and good intentions collide to provide an evening of Shakespeare that is neither dry nor boring. This fast-paced, witty and physical show, directed by Steven Puvogel, is full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.
Performances are Friday and Saturday nights through the month of July, beginning on July 5, and closing on July 27. Curtain time for all shows is 7:30 p.m. There is no Sunday matinee for this production.
Tickets are $13 and are available at Valu Drug in Montesano, Top Foods and City Center Drug in Aberdeen, Harbor Drug in Hoquiam and Delores’ and Fay’s in Ocean Shores.
