Chocolate advice: She has developed quite a taste for dark chocolate with a spice to it and her entire sweet palate has changed. “It ruins you because now I can’t eat a Snickers bar or a Hershey’s Kiss. I can’t stand them. Because I’ve had such good, pure, organic chocolate.”
Quote: “By 6 o’clock Sunday after the festival, I want a steak, rare. I’m tired, my voice is worn out, and I just want a nice, thick, bloody steak.”
Festival: The Chocolate on the Beach Festival is Feb. 23-24, with most events in Pacific Beach. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for kids 13-17. The fee is good for both days and includes all vendor buildings, cooking demos and kids events. For more information and full schedule online: http://www.chocolateonthebeachfestival.com/
