Education: Bachelor’s, Eastern Michigan University, master’s degree from City University in Seattle, doctorate from Seattle University and honorary doctorate from Saybrook University. She was initially confused when offered the honorary degree. “I must have sounded so ungrateful. I said, ‘What for? I already have a doctorate.’”
Hobby: Traveling
Educator: A former art teacher and dance instructor, Cato has also taught human services for Western Washington University, organizational development and transformation for City University and leadership and organizational studies at Antioch University. She may look into teaching again at Grays Harbor College one day.
