Grays Harbor residents Wayne and Janet Bentow celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner party on July 7, hosted by their three children, their spouses and grandchildren at Mazatlan restaurant in Aberdeen.
Wayne Bentow married Janet Merila on July 6, 1962, at the home of her parents in South Bend.
The couple have made their home in Grays Harbor for the past 48 years.
Bentow was employed as a welder/fabricator for many years for Lamb Grays Harbor, ITT Rayonier, Steve Poole Services and more recently for the Westport Shipyard, retiring in 2010.
The couple have enjoyed traveling to Europe, Hawaii, Alaska and Minnesota, as well as spending time with their family.
They have three children, Karen, Brian and Greg and six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
