Aberdeen

All-City Choir

An Aberdeen All-City Elementary Choir is being launched, and it is not too late to join.

Pat Wilhelms, the longtime choir teacher at Aberdeen High who retired earlier this year, says the new choir is open to all elementary school third- or fourth-graders living in the Aberdeen or Cosmopolis school districts, including home-schooled or private school students. Wilhelms will be assisted by Allison Fagerstedt, a teacher at A.J. West Elementary School.

The cost is $30 per semester, but there are many scholarships available, according to Wilhelms. The fee includes music and a choir T-shirt.

The second meeting of the choir group in from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at the First Methodist Church at 2nd and Broadway in Aberdeen. The group will be rehearsing every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Methodist church.

For further information, contact Wilhelms at (360) 532-4437 or pdwilhelms@msn.com.
