Jamie Newton is teaching childbirth classes beginning Thursday, Jan. 3, at Grays Harbor College in Room 2255 for those whose baby is due before March 20.
The classes are informative and fun. The classes will give you accurate information to make the delivery of your baby a special experience for you and your partner. You will have a chance to ask questions weekly. Some of the topics covered are:
• Signs of labor
• Normal progression of labor
• Techniques for coping with pain
• Relaxation and natural breathing techniques
• How your partner can help during labor
• When to call your doctor or midwife
There will also be a discussion of drug options and a hospital tour.
