Chronic Pain Self-Management workshop begins Oct. 10


Coastal Community Action Program and The Olympic Area Agency on Aging, have scheduled a free workshop, Chronic Pain Self-Management that will run every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to noon for six consecutive weeks beginning Oct. 10 with a final class on Friday Nov. 15 at 117 E. 3rd St. in Aberdeen.

The workshop was developed by Stanford University for people who have primary or secondary diagnoses of chronic pain and is designed to give participants the skills and confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active fulfilling lives. The workshop may benefit those who have conditions such as persistent headaches, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetic neuropathy, or those who experience severe muscular pain due to conditions such as multiple sclerosis. Those caring for a loved one with chronic pain may benefit from this workshop also.
