Tomorrow is “Church in Action Sunday” for our congregation. At 10 a.m. we will have prayer and coffee and donuts; then we will divide into teams to participate in 5 different service projects. For those who do not wish to leave the building, there are sandwiches to make and other tasks to be done in support of the teams going out to serve the community. One group will take the Sunday School children to entertain the residents at Channel Point in Hoquiam. Another team will be working at Feed the Hungry to serve a special meal. Other activities would welcome volunteers as well. We are attempting to live up to the Apostle Paul’s advice in Galatians to bear one another’s burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ.

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Pacific Harbors will offer “From a Child’s Perspective,” a teacher training class, from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at the CEF Office, 208 E. Wishkah St., Aberdeen.

Women’s Retreat May 4,5 and 6
Copalis Community Church will host a Women’s Retreat, “God’s Abiding Peace,” on May 4, 5 & 6 at the Pacific Beach Retreat Center, starting at 7 p.m. Friday and concluding at noon on Sunday. Cost is $80 for weekend stay, $60 to attend all sessions without lodging, and $40 for young ladies under 18. There will be a special session Saturday morning featuring Rebecca Small as keynote speaker beginning at 9. To attend only this session and lunch following, the cost is $25.
