The Discover Lake Sylvia Fall Festival and Art Walk will be held Sept. 15 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking at the lake is limited and requires a Discover Pass, but a shuttle bus will run between Simpson School and the park until 3:30 p.m.
The day starts with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Friends of Schafer & Lake Sylvia from 7-11 a.m., an off-road bi/triathlon with individual and team entries starts at 9 a.m., and a kids triathlon kicks off at 11 a.m.
Arts and crafts hikes in the woods run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids nature arts go from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and kids vintage games and races start at 1 p.m.
Music in the park will be going from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. History of Lake Sylvia and the Luark/Wilder family will have two sessions, one at 11 a.m. and one at 1 p.m. A Dutch oven cooking demonstration starts at 10 a.m., with a tasting to follow at 11 a.m. Local farmers and crafters will have goods on sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
