Driver safety class May 23-24 in Montesano


An AARP Driver Safety Class has been scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 23 and 24 at the Montesano W.H. Abel Memorial Timberland Library.

The class, developed by AARP, is designed especially for motorists 50 and older. It covers a wide range of driving situations. Also discussed are normal age related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time, and the class provides practical techniques to compensate for these changes.

Participants 55 and older who complete the course will qualify for a reduction in their insurance premium. Discounts and duration of discounts vary by insurance companies.

There are no tests, A nominal fee of $14 per person is required. AARP members receive a $2 discount with proof of membership.

Class size is limited so pre-registration is required.
