• Aberdeen and Hoquiam Parks & Recreation Departments and the Hoquiam and Aberdeen Lions Clubs will host a children’s Easter egg hunt is at 6 p.m. Thursday at Olympic Stadium. Children should bring their own baskets. Prizes will be awarded. Check in begins at 5:30 p.m. An Easter Bunny will be present for pictures, but parents should bring their own camera.
There is no charge for the hunt, but canned goods donations for the Food Bank or donations of used eyeglasses are appreciated.
Egg hunting is for children through age 12 only. Parents will not be allowed to assist children.
Saturday, March 30
• McCleary Community Church’s Annual Resurrection Egg Hunt is planned for 11 a.m., at Beerbower Park. All children sixth grade and younger are invited. Lunch will be served.
• Elma VFW Auxiliary’s 15th Annual Easter Egg Hunt is at noon at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma. Includes five age groups, for kids 10 and under. Prize giveaway, including bicycles, baskets and more. Line up begins at 11:30 a.m.
• Aberdeen Elks No. 593 will host an event for children 10 and under at 1712 S. Boone in South Aberdeen. Hot dogs and a coloring contest are scheduled for 1 p.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt at 1:30.
