This summer, the YMCA is offering free youth programs twice a week at Pioneer Park in Aberdeen. Every Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local kids can show up to do arts and crafts, dance and play games. The program will be offered through August 28.
Any child can participate in the program, but the activities are geared toward school-aged kids. At the end of the summer, children who participated in the program will be given a free pass to swim in the YMCA pool.
The Aberdeen School District is also offering free lunch at the park from 11:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The lunch program will run through August 15.
