Catholic Community Services will host the annual Burns Supper at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, in the St. Mary’s Parish Center, to raise money for the parish’s Feed the Hungry program that provides free meals for those who need them.
“It is common knowledge among Scots men and women and lovers or descendants of Scots, that Burns night is an event you can’t miss,” says their press release. “It has been part of the Scottish culture for more than 200 years and each year gathers Burns aficionados and novices who wish to commemorate the national Bard (Robert Burns) with great Scottish food, drink and hospitality. As a unique Scottish occasion, it has become a popular celebration in which we welcome everyone to join us!”
