Grays Harbor College hosts goal events

Grays Harbor College will host three free College Goal events during January, including a session in Pacific County on Wednesday, Jan. 16. A national event focused on helping families complete financial aid forms, participants will attend workshops on preparing for college and how to qualify for federal programs to pay for college.

College Goal Wednesday takes place between 6 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 16. Interactive television will connect the college’s sites at the Riverview Education Center in Raymond and the Columbia Education Center in Ilwaco. Students and their families can attend the work session in either location.

The college will also host a College Goal Sunday on Jan. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. In the HUB on the main campus in Aberdeen. A third session, offered in Spanish, will take place on Sunday, Jan. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. also in the HUB on the Aberdeen campus. At all three events, trained volunteers will provide one-on-one assistance in filling out the Federal FAFSA forms.
