The Westport Maritime Museum welcomes the holiday season with many activities this weekend.
Free admission to the museum will be offered from noon to 4 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and noon to 4 p.m., Sunday.
A tree lighting ceremony and Christmas caroling will begin at 5 p.m., Friday. The tree lighting ceremony is dedicated to longtime volunteers Colleen Berger and Vern Coverdale who passed away this year.
“Santa by the Sea,” a children’s event hosted by the South Beach Buccaneers, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at the museum. Photos with Santa, holiday treats, live music and pirate fun are planned.
