Hydrant flushing planned in Hoquiam

The City of Hoquiam will begin cleaning water lines on April 29. The program should last through June 30.

Crews will operate fire hydrants, creating a high-velocity flow that will clean the city’s 60 miles of water pipes. Residents may experience water discoloration or changes in pressure while flushing takes place. City officials recommend allowing discolored water to run for 5 to 10 minutes before use.
