Three people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle accident Wednesday on State Route 105 near Ocosta.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. at the 39-mile marker. A 72-year-old Puyallup woman was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee northbound when she crossed over into oncoming traffic, according the the Washington State Patrol. A 38-year-old Aberdeen man swerved his 2006 Lincoln pickup to avoid her, but was hit on the side of his vehicle. The Jeep continued down the road where it struck a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire head-on driven by a 35-year-old Aberdeen man.
The elderly driver, the driver of the Pontiac and his 8-year-old daughter were all transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries. The Puyallup woman was charged with negligent driving. The accident blocked traffic for at least two hours.
