$3.6 million ticket from Aberdeen still unclaimed

The person who bought a lottery ticket worth $3.6 million still hasn’t claimed their prize, the Washington Lottery confirmed Wednesday. The ticket was purchased somewhere in Aberdeen, but Arlen Harris of the Washington Lottery said they don’t release the specific store due to security concerns. Once the ticket is claimed, the store will receive a selling bonus of 1 percent of the prize, or $36,000 in this case. Harris said the delay is not uncommon among lottery winners.

“A lot of times people will wait a week, they might be talking to a financial planner or an attorney or family members,” he said.

The Lotto drawing Aug. 18 revealed the winning ticket numbers were: 07-08-12-19-29-38. The winner has until Feb. 14, 2013 to claim the prize.
