A family member was sentenced to 60 days in jail after taking several items from the Whiteside Mortuary in Montesano in June.
Jeffrey B. Whiteside, 52, was sentenced in Grays Harbor Superior Court Monday for a second-degree burglary charge. He entered the mortuary June 18 without permission and took a desktop computer, cordless drill, printer, garden hose and hose reel.
Whiteside said in court Monday he has been seeking treatment for drug addiction and mental health issues. Fifteen days of his sentence was converted to community service.
