Drivers, 55 and older, will qualify for a reduction in their insurance premium by completing an AARP Driver Safety Class. The class developed by AARP is designed especially for motorists 50 and older.
The class will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, May 28 and 29, at the Hoquiam Timberland Library.
The eight-hour class consists of two four-hour sessions, on two separate days. It covers a wide range of driving situations. Also discussed are the normal age-related changes in vision, hearing, reaction time and provides practical techniques to compensate for these changes.
There are no tests. Cost is $14 per person. AARP members receive a $2 discount, (proof of membership is required). Class size is limited so pre-registration is required. To register, or for more information call Dan or Lorene Burns at 538-1440.
