The Aberdeen City Council has moved to streamline its municipal court collections.
At its meeting this week, the council switched its collection services to Dynamic Collectors, the company used by all other courts in Grays Harbor. The council’s Finance Committee also noted the courts who switched to Dynamic got better results. The move may make it easier for “defendants to manage payment plans and to clear driver licenses” a memo to council stated.
They also provide better customer service and are easier to deal with, said Judge Paul D. Conroy at the committee meeting before council met and approved the switch.
Most of the fines concern driving infractions and suspended driver licenses, Conroy said.
