Alleged burglary of home near Oakville interrupted

A man claiming to be 36 years old was arrested in the act of allegedly burglarizing a home near the tribal gas station and store east of Oakville on State Route 12, Sgt. Don Kolilis of the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.

The suspect, who has been booked into Grays Harbor County Jail, is believed to be a transient. His identity has not been confirmed.

He was spotted in the house by Police Officer Jeremy Holmes of the Chehalis Tribal Police, Kolilis said. Sheriff’s Deputy David Libby joined him to make the arrest. Holmes knew no one was living in the house, he said. The suspect was arrested without incident.
