Assault at same home where boy shot his brother

RAYMOND — The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a late-night assault at a home on Mill Creek Road east of Raymond on Friday — the same residence where one brother had shot another just four months ago.

Sheriff Scott Johnson confirmed that the altercation occured between relatives at about 10 p.m. Johnson said, despite initial reports, a shooting did not occur.

Neighbors of the property called The Daily World to say the assault happened at the same house where a 10-year-old boy shot his 9-year-old brother in June. The boy survived the shooting. Johnson said at the time that the stepfather was allegedly not keeping track of what was going on.

Johnson confirmed the incident did happen at the same house and occured between relatives again, but could not confirm which relatives or the details. He said one person was taken into custody.

“This is just too early to go into those details,” Johnson said.
