The perpetrator who broke one of four front windows at the Backstage Cafe in Hoquiam has been found.
The plate glass window was broken, probably by a chunk of concrete, early on Friday morning. Police were tipped off by a reader of The Daily World story, Hoquiam Police Chief Jeff Myers said Monday. A 31-year-old woman, a family member of the reader, “admitted to being drunk” and breaking the window for no apparent reason, Myers added.
The incident is apparently not related to other recent incidents involving broken windows in Hoquiam, Myers said.
The woman made a private arrangement with the cafe’s owner, who declined to press charges, Crovisier and Myers confirmed.
