Car hits Aberdeen jewelry store

A 65-year-old Aberdeen woman accidentally crashed her car into the side of an Aberdeen jewelry store Tuesday morning, Aberdeen Police reported.

Officers responded at about 11 a.m. to G.L. Kluh on E. Wishkah Street where the woman had crashed into the building wall. She told officers her foot slipped off the brake as she was parking and the car lurched forward into the building. Neither she nor her husband, who was in the passenger seat, were injured.

Damage to the building and the car appeared to be minor.

Capt. John Green said no action is being taken against the woman, although police are continuing to investigate.
