Come and get ‘em! Crab, crab and more crab!

Crab lovers unite! It’s time once again for the perennially popular Ocosta Booster Club Crab Feed today at the Ocosta Rec Hall. This is the 16th annual club fundraiser to support youth programs and scholarships for Ocosta School District students.

The Ocosta Booster Club is composed of individuals, businesses and organizations that want to help raise and then distribute funds for the benefit of student activities for Ocosta High School juniors and seniors that would not otherwise take place due to financial constraints, as well as provide scholarships to graduating seniors annually.

Memberships are open to anyone, regardless of where you reside.

Booster Club funding comes from two sources: Membership and the group’s annual Crab Feed fundraiser each spring.

Thanks to generous donations from local crabbers and community members, adult and Ocosta High student volunteers will serve up not only loads of freshly cooked crab, but also spaghetti, garlic bread and coleslaw.

Serving is from noon to 7 p.m. with tickets available at the door. The cost is $20 for ages 13-Adult, $10 for ages 6-12 and children age 5 and under eat for free. Beer/wine/pop and bottled water will be available for purchase.

The club will also offer a raffle that includes a Booster Club Fan package containing two T-shirts, two hats and two stadium cushions. A Wildcat stadium blanket is also up for grabs, along with some other terrific prizes.

Pack up your pickers, melted butter and bibs and head on out to the Ocosta Rec Hall this Saturday for some great eating for a great cause.
