The 19th annual Cranberry Harvest Festival in Grayland runs next weekend, Oct. 13 and 14. Admission is free, and events include bog tours, Jog the Bog 10k, 5k and 3k, a cranberry cookoff and the Firefly Parade.
Festival headquarters is the Grayland Community Hall, 2071 Cranberry Road. Tours leave every hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A cranberry marketplace will showcase products including cranberry sausage, cranberry pizza, cranberry salsa and more. Live entertainment will be on the stage as shoppers explore.
A cranberry cook-off is open to both professionals and novices. Winners will be in next year’s cranberry cookbook.
Cranberry growers will go head-to-head in a Big Berry Contest for harvesting the biggest cranberry.
The Firefly Parade will start Saturday at dusk and wind down Highway 105 for nearly two miles, featuring lighted floats and music.
Activities run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. For more information, contact festival chairman Patti Hull at 267-6107.
