Developmental screening offered at Satsop School

Do you have a concern about the development of a child under the age of 3?

Screenings for children in the Satsop School District, provided by the Grays Harbor Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program, will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2. at the Satsop School.

The purpose of the screenings is to assist parents who may have concerns about their child’s development. The screenings will help identify potential problems that may affect the child’s success in school and will indicate if further evaluation and/or special services may be needed. The screenings will include vision, hearing, speech, language, motor skills, social/emotional and learning.

If screening identifies a concern for development, including any physical, vision and/or hearing impairments, Family Resource Coordinators will help the family schedule further evaluations and provide assistance with additional services.

An appointment for screening is required and can be arranged by calling 482-5330.
