An Elma bank was robbed on Tuesday afternoon, law enforcement officials said.
Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Chief Criminal Deputy Steve Shumate said a man walked into the Anchor Bank at the corner of South Third and East Eaton streets and allegedly ordered a teller to give him money. The man did not produce a weapon, police said, but the teller complied. The man, who was described as being white and 6 feet tall, is believed to have gotten away in a light colored sedan. At press time, law enforcement officials were processing a security video for public release.
