Flood watch issued for Satsop for Tuesday morning

A Flood Watch has been issued for Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon for parts of Grays Harbor County.

The Satsop River is the river of concern, said Charles Wallace, deputy director of emergency management for Grays Harbor County.

Although forecast models are still projecting it to crest at 32.64 feet, which is below the flood stage of 34 feet at Satsop, there will be significant rainfall in the mountains tonight and conditions could change quickly, Wallace said.

A flood watch means conditions are favorable for flooding, but flooding is not imminent or currently occurring.
