Forum explores problems businesses face

Greater Grays Harbor Inc. and Express Employment Professionals are hosting a business forum titled “The Five Threats Facing Business Today” from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge. Lunch will be served. Cost is $15 for GGHI members and $20 for non-members.

Express Employment Professionals commissioned a nationwide, comprehensive research project that identified the top five threats facing businesses today:

• Inability to innovate

• Losing competitive advantage

• Costs of reckless hiring

• Poor leadership and communication

• Regulatory problems

Changes in the economic environment have altered business to the point that many people are saying this is the “new normal.” Today, success hinges on the ability to identify threats and respond to them quickly.
