Gordon wants signs for construction projects

Grays Harbor County Commissioner Frank Gordon says the county needs to take a hint from the state and do a better job of telling the public about the different road projects that it does.

Like the state Department of Transportation installs signs touting the road improvement projects along the highway, Gordon told Road Engineer Russ Esses that the county should put up similar signs when it improves bridges or does major road work.

On Monday, the county commissioners got the bridge designs on Keal, Delezenne and Mattson Road bridges. Gordon said that before work begins on those bridges — or any other similar bridge — a sign should be installed telling users that a project will happen there, how much it could cost and what work is being done.
