The Aberdeen School District Board of Education passed a change to graduation rules that may make it easier for some students to graduate.

On Tuesday the board voted unanimously to grant half a credit in math or science to students who failed algebra, geometry or biology, but then later passed the state- mandated End of Course test in those subjects. A student in this situation can then take a summer session class or an online course in the subject to obtain the correct balance of credits for each subject area needed to graduate.
