Gubernatorial candidate to headline Lincoln Day Dinner

The Grays Harbor Republican Party will hold its annual Lincoln Day Dinner from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Aberdeen Rotary Log Pavilion.

Former gubernatorial candidate Shahram Hadian will be the keynote speaker.

There will also be fine dining, a silent auction and dancing until 11 p.m.. The cash-only bar will serve wine from Westport Winery, spirits from Wishkah Distillery and beer from Westport Brewery.

Hadian will be presenting his new speech titled, “Restoring our Constitutional Republic.”

He was born in Iran and came to America at the age of 7. He is a proud U.S. citizen. He experienced a transformational life change when he gave his life when he became a Christian 13 years ago and was called to ministry as a Christian pastor. When he became a Christian, he immediately faced the persecution and disapproval of his family and culture and according to Islam became an apostate. He has served his local community as a Christian pastor, police officer, teacher, coach and small-business owner.

The Lighthouse Ballet Company of Hoquaim is bringing a few of its dancers to perform for the audience.

The silent auction will run throughout the dinner and entertainment. A catalog and bidding forms will be at every table.

Meanwhile, the Grays Harbor Republicans Party, which recently opened a new office in the SouthShore Mall, also announced the election of new leadership: Michael Thompson was elected chairman; Beth DeVaul is vice chairwoman; Linda Webb was voted in as secretary and David Canady as treasurer.

Jaime and Jim Walsh were elected county representatives.
